THE INTUITIVE Approach

At 23 years old, a doctor at the Mayo Clinic told me I would be on and off a feeding tube for the rest of my life.

I was provided a handout of dietary instructions to follow indefinitely. On this list saltine crackers, jello and Gatorade made the top 3.

Up until this point in my life, I had followed the traditional path and listened to almost everything I was told to do.

In that moment, something shifted inside of me. I had 2 choices:

To continue to listen to the professionals and give my power away, or to step into it.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, but quickly realized allopathic medicine was not my path.

I started researching and compiling resources on functional medicine on my days off. I sought out integrative practitioners to guide me in my process as I stayed dedicated to my own healing

I was insatiable in the pursuit of what the functional world had to offer. I healed my gut to about 60% when I made the decision to go back to get my Master of Science in Nursing with the sole intent of practicing functional medicine.

I looked like I had it together- The degrees, traveling the world solo, completing half-ironmans, working in functional medicine, confidently public speaking- but inside I was still falling apart.

I pressed pause on my life, determined to make progress on the remaining 40%. I began to rewire my nervous system, course-correct narratives from childhood and leaned into the power of acceptance. I stopped living in fear and transitioned out of a partnership that was unsafe for my nervous system. I decreased the number of endurance races to improve my adrenals and made peace in my relationship with my physical body in the process. I started moving towards things that excited me and poured my heart into my life and community. I founded my LLC, started working at a practice that values me, moved across the country, and utilized resources, coaches, retreats, healers, and functional medicine practitioners along the way. We are not meant to do life alone, and until we are in an environment that is supportive, healing is not possible.

Ive spent the last 16 months doing the work, researching, applying, and integrating. I now have the tools to help you do the same.

Yes, medical tests are important, but they are only 1 piece of your puzzle. I look at the whole person and utilize a combination of allopathic, functional, nutritional, and behavior techniques to help you live and feel good in your 100%.
